The sphere with ring is intended to demonstrate solid state expansion at heating.

The device consists of tripod, metal ring wth socket and sphere with small chain. The rod is bent at top and it ends with hook. The ring socket is put on tripod. The ring spcket can be installed with the ring at necessary height. Thus, ring can be moved and fixed on tripod. A sphere is hanged above ring by means of small chain. When the ring moves upstairs, the sphere may freely pass through the ring if their temperatures equal. That is achieved by tuning sizes of ring and sphere. If the sphere is heated over 80 °C than the ring is then the shere sticks into the ring.
