  • Lenz’s rule demonstration device

    Description

The device is intended to demonstrate how direction of inductive current depends on character of change of magnetic flux.

    > Device configuration

The device consists of two identical rings. One of the rings has a slit. Rings are fixed at ends of light aluminium yoke. The yoke is 160 mm long. The yoke is fixed at spike of stand during the experiment holding.

    > The experiments

    - comparison of interacton between plain circuit and magnet and interaction between between slitted ring with magnet

    - motion of plain ring coupled with its approching to magnet

    - motion of plain ring coupled with magnet sliding in and out

The principle of the device functioning is based on interaction between inductive current circuit and magnet. Magnet bar or pile of circular megnets are required.
