Description
The tube is intended to demonstrate phenomenon of water convection when liquid warms up.

The device is implemented as glass U-tube of 25 mm diameter. Both pipes are connected a little bit lower open end of pipe by means of rubber hose. Two spoons of differing hadle’s length are bundled. The ends of holders are bent to provide hanging them at the tube’s edge. When the experiment is demonstrated the tube is filled with water a liitle bit higher than the connecting pipe lies. Next, the tube is fixed in tripod. The spoons are filled with potassium permanganat. Next, they are ducked into different elbow pipes. When the system is warmed up, the colored sheets of water leave spoons and move to opposite directions.
