Description
The device is intended to demonstrate molecular adhesion which happens at squeezing two suraces of lead pieces.

The device consists of two cylinders, a plough and a guide tube. Eac cylinder cosists of steel and lead parts. The steel part has a hook. The plough is implemented as cylindrical foundation with a front knife and a handle. The plough is intended for stripping and smoothing the front sides of lead cylinders. The guide tube has a side slit to prevent the inserted cylinder from rotating. Internal diameter of the guide tube is adjusted with cyliders’ and plough’s diameter so that the cylinders and plough pass into the guide tube rather freely. To polish front side of lead cylinder, the plough and the cylider are inerted at opposite ends of guide tube. Stripping and smoothing the front side of lead cylinder is provided with smooth rotation of plough.
