The device is intended to hold demonstration experiments of the "Plants" section.

The device consists of waterproof vessel containing the test subject. The vessel contains lime water which is the CO2 absorbent. The vessel is connected to manometer. The manometer is filled with colored liquid. A plant breathes out tha carbonic gas, and that gas is absorbed by lime water. Liquid-level changes due to change of pressure. Thus, respiratory meatbolism is revealed.
Test subjects (acrospires, insects, frog, mouse) are required.
