Description
The plumes are intended to demonstrate interaction of likely and unlikely charged bodies. The plumes are also utilized in demonstrating electric field lines of one and two point charges when the electrostatics is studies.

The device consists of two identical plumes with paper lags or silk threads colored differently. Each plume is made of metal rod having two metal discs screwed into the rod’s end. Thin paper lags are squeezed between discs. When the experiment is held, another end of rod is inserted into isolating hole of tripod.
